Although buying CDs has made a comeback lately, especially with the influence of K-Pop and their creative and fun physical albums, listening to music on a CD player is considered a retro activity.

CD players were the common way to enjoy music back in the 1990s and 2000s. Nowadays, we have streaming apps and can have one account logged into many electronic devices.
We no longer carry many CDs around, but instead have hundreds or thousands of songs downloaded to our phones, ready to be listened to anywhere.
