20. Great Dane

One of the largest dog breeds out there, the Great Dane is known for its friendly and gentle nature. Despite its intimidating size, often standing at around 28 to 34 inches (71 to 86 cm) tall at the shoulder, this breed doesn’t require much exercise and is very affectionate. Great Danes are ancestors to another dog breed: the Dogo Argentino. You can expect to pay anywhere from $1,000 to $3,000 for a Great Dane, as it is a classic and reputable breed.
