Eating poop

This action is called coprophagy and can be triggered by a series of factors. 

Dogs can eat poop motivated by a diet lacking essential nutrients, attraction to its scent or taste (especially in puppies), to get attention from their owners, and even as a behavioral problem related to stress, anxiety, or boredom.

Even though there are medications to help with this behavior, identifying the root cause is the most effective method to stop your dog from eating poop.
