Chinese New Year

The Chinese New Year is celebrated between January 21 and February 20 and is the most important festival in the country’s calendar. This celebration, just like new years in general, means a breath of fresh air into new beginnings and wards off evil spirits. 

It is associated with the Chinese zodiac, which has 12 animals to represent each year. Therefore, a year is named after its animal, whose traits and personalities are said to be the guidance of the year’s energy.
