This picture isn’t so scary, is it?
I mean, if you look at it as a wise tree from an old children’s movie, where the characters go to get advice and end up befriending the tree, it can be a more amicable picture.
Another way to not be so scared by objects that resemble human emotions and other expressions is to face these situations for what they are: pareidolia.
This is a psychological phenomenon in which the human mind perceives familiar patterns or shapes, such as faces or recognizable objects, in unrelated or random stimuli. It’s a form of pattern recognition that occurs in the brain.
Either way, as it is a real picture of a real tree out there, I still wouldn’t like to see it in person, even though I try to use my imagination to dissuade this image from having a scary meaning.
