06. Microwave Popcorn
The popcorn seeds themselves do not pose a health risk. Microwave popcorn, on the other hand, may contain trans fats, artificial additives, high sodium content, and be an ’empty calorie’ meal, as it is low in nutritional value. As we’ve seen before, butter and oil are not recommended for a healthier diet, and many microwave popcorn varieties have butter and other unhealthy oils added to them. You can opt for low-sodium options or try air-popped popcorn, as it doesn’t require any type of fat addition.
