06. Scented oils
It is not surprising that most of the passengers on board the Titanic were from the upper classes. The price of a first-class ticket could go up to £870 (about £100,000 today), depending on the type of suite chosen.
Therefore, many lavish items were found among the artifacts of the Titanic, and one of them was a scented oils collection that belonged to the chemist Adolphe Saalfeld. Not only were the glass containers of these scented oils preserved, but their original perfumes are still intact.
