La Peregrina

Originally from Panama in the 16th century, La Peregrina pearl is a necklace valued at US$11.8 million. 

Allegedly, after being taken from Panama, this necklace traveled the world, first being owned by Spanish queens and then being gifted to Queen Mary I of England as a gift from her future husband King Philip II of Spain. 

Later on, La Peregrina was bought by the American actor Richard Burton as a gift for his wife, Elizabeth Taylor, who now owns the necklace.
