Pinocchio

Pinnochio – Walt Disney Pictures

“Pinocchio” is a character that originated in Italian literature. The story was written by Carlo Collodi, an Italian author and journalist. The tale of Pinocchio was first serialized in a children’s magazine called “Giornale per i bambini.”

The story follows the adventures of Pinocchio, a wooden puppet carved by the woodcarver Geppetto. The puppet comes to life and embarks on a series of misadventures, facing moral and ethical challenges along the way.

In the original tale, Pinocchio is quite mischievous and disobedient. He faces severe consequences for his misbehavior. In both the original story and Disney’s adaptation, Pleasure Island is a place where misbehaving boys are lured with promises of fun and freedom. However, once there, they are transformed into donkeys and sold into slavery.
