British actor Alexander Lincoln has discussed his sexuality on his Instagram after a fan accused him of ‘posing as gay.’
Alexander portrayed Mark Newton in the gay film ‘In From the Side,’ which earned him a long-list nomination for ‘Breakthrough Performance’ at the 2022 British Independent Film Awards (BIFA).
When a fan commented on his post, praising the movie but accusing him of being a straight actor pretending to be gay, he briefly responded, “no, I’m not straight [heart emoj]”.
In an interview for Timeout, he said: ‘It’s refreshing to be part of a queer film where sexuality isn’t the conflict’.
