08. Matthew Perry had drugs addiction problems
In recent years, Matthew Perry, our Chandler Bing, has openly addressed his drug addiction issues and his daily struggle for recovery and sobriety. For almost as long as his Hollywood career, Matthew has battled alcohol and drug addiction, which began when he was prescribed opioid painkillers after an accident.

He has recently discussed his struggles in a People interview and in his memoir, ‘Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing,’ published in 2022. In his book, he reveals that he has been to rehab 15 times and has undergone 14 surgeries. At one point, he was filming ‘Friends’ while on drugs. He said, ‘Season 9 was the year that I was sober the whole way through. And guess which season I got nominated for best actor? I was like, “That should tell me something.”‘
