The truth about being a cat owner is that you don’t necessarily have to look for a cat before getting one. They usually just show up from nowhere and decide they are adopting us. Some show up on our way to errands or work. Others show up inside our house, without any ceremonies. It’s a very smooth process.

Once they adopt us, our houses become theirs, our beds will be made when they are no longer napping there, some of our plants might get eaten, and a few vases broken.
It’s all part of the process, and we don’t care. What matters is the lifelong bond we form with these tiny animals. Have I already said that I don’t have this color yet?
