Peter Ostrum’s acting career was brief. He played Charlie Bucket in the 1971 motion picture Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory when he was 12.
After returning from the filming of Willy Wonka, Ostrum developed a passion for his family’s horses, paving a different path for his life. In 1984, he earned a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Peter works as a veterinarian and resides with his wife in Glenfield, New York.
