Using a typewriter

Some people still have typewriters these days, whether as a decorative item or for sentimental value.
Before computers, people used typewriters, mechanical keyboards used for typing directly on paper.
It is actually very fun to see a typewriter in function because it has individual keys for each letter, number, and symbol – just like our regular keyboards. But when a key is pressed, a metal arm with a typebar at the end swings up and strikes an inked ribbon to transfer the character onto paper.
If you typed something wrong, you couldn’t just tap backspace and start over; you had to apply erasing fluid over the mistake.
