Sodas are considered unhealthy for several reasons. Firstly, they contain high levels of sugar, which increase the risk of diabetes, heart disease, cavities, and other dental problems. Elevated sugar consumption also promotes inflammation, which, when consumed in excess, can increase the risk of liver diseases. Additionally, sodas are often associated with what is known as ’empty calories.’ They provide a significant number of calories but don’t offer sufficient and relevant nutrients for a more beneficial diet.
