Midsummer – Sweden
Every year, around June 21st, Sweden experiences the longest day of the year. That’s when Midsummer, or Midsommar (yes, just like the movie), is celebrated.
This festival is a connection to nature, warmth, and light. People will wear flower crowns and raise the maypole in the center of the festivities while dancing to traditional folk dances.
Midsummer celebrations also involve traditional Swedish food, picnics, and barbecues, where people can reunite to socialize and celebrate.
